Matej Leskovec

has 19 years’ experience in industrial manufacturing and engineering, specialising in the aquaculture sector. He graduated from the Biotechnical University in Ljubljana, Slovenia, with a degree in horticulture, supplemented by courses in aquaculture. Matej founded his own company Ponika Ltd, which designs and implements aquaculture and aquaponics systems. After this, he worked as head of department at a Maltese aquaculture engineering firm, designing, installing and commissioning computerised systems for commercial and experimental RAS facilities in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
